Dr. Jamil J. Al-Bagawi

Senior Vice President, Diversified Industries, Saudi Aramco.
Board Chairman of Novel Non-Metallic Solutions.

Jamil J. Al-Bagawi is the Senior Vice President of Diversified Industries Admin Area in Saudi Aramco. He leads Saudi Aramco's strategy to further drive the Kingdom's economic growth and diversification, with significant impact to the Kingdom's GDP and job creation. Jamil also sits on several boards, giving his expertise and experience to multiple organizations.

Previous to this, Jamil held the position of Chief Engineer of Saudi Aramco. He was responsible for all above surface engineering related functions. As a Chief Engineer, he was also responsible for major roles such as Specialist Development Program, Technology Program, Corporate Innovation, Knowledge Management and Patents. He was also the chairman of Saudi Aramco Board of Engineers and Energy Management Steering committee. As a chairman, Jamil also had oversight of Saudi Aramco engineering standards, manufacturers technical and quality review and approval process to ensure, optimize and adapt best in class processes for Saudi Aramco’s global business strategies.

Jamil began his career at Saudi Aramco in 1995 as an engineer in the central engineering of Saudi Aramco. He held various technical and management positions in several organizations, including Consulting Services Department, Abqaiq Plants, and Ras Tanura Refinery. Also, he has held several positions in the company such as Manager of Consulting Services Department, Inspection Department, Research & Development Center, Shedgum Gas Plant, Coordinator of Professional Engineering Development Division, Supervisor of Energy Conservation Unit and other management positions. As part of Saudi Aramco Accelerated Transformation Program, Jamil successfully led, established and introduced Operational Excellence to Saudi Aramco which resulted in considerable savings and enhancements in the operational processes for all Saudi Aramco businesses. He also successfully led the efforts to develop Saudi Aramco engineering competency maps which became the standard approach to develop Saudi Aramco engineering workforce.

Prior to joining Saudi Aramco, Jamil was a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) from 1991 to 1995.

Additionally, Jamil has led many organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was the Board Chairman of the Saudi Council of Engineers and the President of Federation of Engineering Institutions of Islamic Countries (FEIIC). He is also advisor for several KSA universities in engineering area.

He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and he is a Graduate of Harvard Business School (General Management Program). He is also a certified engineering arbitrator.

KHALID S AL HAJRI

Vice President – Procurement 
Procurement & Supply Chain Department, Saudi Aramco.

Khalid currently leads Saudi Aramco’s Procurement function, including four (4) Departments responsible for procuring $40+ billion of materials and services annually in support of Saudi Aramco’s capital program and critical operations. Additionally, he oversees the Company’s $5 billion inventory assets and the Corporate In-Kingdom Total Value Added (IKTVA) program.

Khalid is a graduate of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. He started his career at Saudi Aramco in 1992 as a Purchasing Representative. Since that time, Khalid’s career has spanned the entire Supply Chain and beyond, holding various technical and management positions in several organizations, most recently as the Director of Operations Procurement Department (OPD), but also including roles in Projects Procurement Department (PPD), Contracting Department (CD) and multiple positions in Project Management (PMT).

Domenico Di Giambattista

Domenico Di Giambattista is currently the Global Vice President for the Subsea and Surface Pressure Systems (S&SPS); a Segment of the Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) business in Baker Hughes.The Segment includes 2 Product Lines: Subsea Projects and Services (SP&S), and Flexible Pipe Systems (FPS).

Prior to that, from 2021 he was Global Vice President of the Flexible Pipe Systems (FPS) Product Line.

From 2016 to 2020, he served as Regional Vice President OFE, Sub Sahara Africa (SSA) for GE Oil & Gas, and then Baker Hughes a GE Company.

Domenico joined GE Oil & Gas in 2004 as Project Manager in the Turbomachinery business, where he undertook a Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) and additional Leadership responsibilities across Italy, Middle East and US.

From 2010 till 2016, Domenico was based in Luanda (Angola). He was initially responsible for the Turbomachinery Services business for Central Africa. He then took the role of Global Operations & Quality Leader for the GE Oil & Gas business in SSA. In 2014, he was appointed General Manager of the GE Oil & Gas business in Angola.

Domenico is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from the University of L’Aquila, Italy and a Master in Project Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, US.

He is currently based in Newcastle (UK) with his wife and 2 children.

David holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business administration is a qualified Chartered Global Management accountant (CIMA-CGMA).

A finance professional with over 25 years in multinational energy services organizations. Broad experience in Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East.

The most recent roles have been: 1.MENATI Oilfield services CFO. Responsible for the OFS portfolio across for 14 countries with a turnover above $2b.

Oilfield Services (OFS) provides products and services for onshore and offshore operations across the lifecycle of reservoirs and wells.

CFO Global Projects, Turbomachinery and Process Solutions. Managing the WW Portfolio > $6B/100 projects ($1.5B to < $1m).

Turbomachinery & Process Solutions (TPS) provides equipment and related services for mechanical-drive, compression and power-generation applications.

David currently resides in the UK with his family.

Hashim is a senior energy sector executive with 20+ years of experience driving commercial growth and shaping strategy at board and sovereign stakeholder levels. He has built trusted relationships with leaders across Saudi Aramco and key government ministries and led Baker Hughes’ Saudi 5-Year localization strategy. Known for strong commercial judgment and disciplined execution, he excels at creating new revenue streams, structuring major partnerships, and aligning business outcomes with national priorities such as Vision 2030.

We are confident that, building on the strong foundations already in place, Hashim will provide the leadership, direction, and momentum required to further develop the business, support our teams, and advance our technology and manufacturing ambitions. Hashim will officially join the Company on February 2nd. We are counting on Hashim’s leadership to continue Novel’s success and move the company to the next level of Excellence which we believe it will mark an important milestone in the evolution of our company.

Ahmed Hafiz

Chief Operating Officer

Ahmed Hafiz is a Saudi executive leader with over two decades of global experience in building, scaling, and governing industrial and energy businesses across the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Novel Non-Metallic Solutions, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Baker Hughes, established as a strategic growth platform aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

In his current role, Ahmed has led enterprise design and operational execution from investment decision to full facility readiness. He built the corporate structure across procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and HSE, while overseeing capital deployment and ensuring the organization remained under budget despite global inflationary pressures. His leadership has positioned the venture for scalable, long-term value creation and global competitiveness.

Prior to this, Ahmed held senior leadership roles at Schlumberger, GE Oil & Gas, and Baker Hughes. His career spans field operations, regional P&L leadership, mergers and acquisitions in the United States, supply chain and manufacturing management in China, and commercial leadership in Malaysia. He has led multinational teams, managed complex transformations, and played key roles in joint venture formation and enterprise integration initiatives.

Ahmed began his career in 2003 as a field service engineer, gaining hands-on operational experience in Algeria and Saudi Arabia before advancing into leadership roles across multiple regions. His trajectory reflects disciplined execution, cross-cultural leadership capability, and the ability to translate strategy into sustainable operational performance.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He has also completed executive education programs and holds a Certificate in Board Directorship from the GCC Board Directors Institute.

Ahmed’s leadership philosophy is grounded in strategic clarity, disciplined capital allocation, and a people-first culture. He is passionate about building Saudi-grown enterprises that compete globally, contribute to Vision 2030, and create meaningful leadership pathways for future generations.

Abdullah Bakhshwin

Chief Technology Officer

Abdullah Bakhshwin is the Chief Technology Officer at Novel Non-Metallic Solutions, an Aramco and Baker Hughes joint venture. Appointed by Aramco, he drives the company’s technological vision, specializing in downhole Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP), Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP), and R&D Beyond Oil & Gas. His engineering foundation includes extensive field experience in offshore operations and Shaybah, building on a diverse career that spans early research with university labs funded by NASA and the USAF to roles as a Field Engineer and Directional Driller at Baker Hughes.

At Aramco, he provided strategic leadership in nonmetallic integrity, developing patented well designs and pioneering inline NDT inspection technology for nonmetallic piping. An active industry leader, Abdullah serves as Vice Chair of the AMPP Dhahran Chapter and led the 19th MECC Investment Track, securing over $1 billion in MOUs.

Today, he combines rigorous operational expertise with forward-thinking leadership to drive transformative nonmetallic solutions across the global energy sector.

Ahmed Kamal

Acting Chief Financial Officer

Ahmed Kamal is the Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novel Non-Metallic Solutions Manufacturing Company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Baker Hughes.

At Novel, Ahmed is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, overseeing financial planning and analysis, corporate reporting, governance, and financial controls. He works closely with the executive leadership team and shareholders to support strategic decision-making, financial discipline, and sustainable growth as the company builds its position in the non-metallic solutions market.

Ahmed brings nearly two decades of international finance experience across the oil and gas, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Throughout his career, he has held senior finance leadership roles within several global organizations in the Middle East, where he has contributed to strengthening financial governance, enhancing reporting transparency, and supporting business growth in complex multinational environments.

Prior to joining Novel Non-Metallic Solutions, Ahmed served in finance leadership positions with Saudi NAPESCO, Advanced Energy Systems (ADES), and Weatherford Drilling International, where he held multiple roles across Saudi Arabia and Oman. During this time, he supported financial operations, performance management, and strategic financial planning within the energy services sector.

Earlier in his career, Ahmed worked with NCR Corporation in Egypt, where he developed his foundation in financial management and corporate reporting within a global technology and manufacturing organization.

Ahmed is currently completing the Chief Financial Officer Programme at London Business School.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University and is recognized for his analytical mindset, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to strong financial governance and operational excellence.
